Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi/Mombasa – Tsavo West National Park

06:30 AM – Departure Meet your Africo Safari guide at your hotel or designated pickup point in Nairobi or Mombasa. Depart for Tsavo West National Park. 10:00 AM – Enter Tsavo West Enter the park and begin your first game drive as you proceed toward your lodge. Tsavo West is characterized by rugged hills, volcanic formations, savannah and underground water sources. 12:30 PM – Lunch & Check-In Arrive at your safari lodge or tented camp. Enjoy lunch and take a short rest. 02:30 PM – Mzima Springs Visit the spectacular Mzima Springs, one of Tsavo West's most famous attractions. Enjoy a guided nature walk around the springs while looking for: Hippos Crocodiles Fish Monkeys Waterbirds 04:00 PM – Afternoon Game Drive Continue your game drive through Tsavo West. Look for: Elephants Lions Buffaloes Giraffes Zebras Leopards Antelopes 06:30 PM – Sunset Enjoy the beautiful Tsavo sunset before returning to camp. 07:30 PM – Dinner Overnight: Tsavo West Safari Lodge/Tented Camp

Day 2: Tsavo West – Tsavo East National Park

06:00 AM – Sunrise Game Drive Start the morning with an early game drive through Tsavo West. The cooler morning hours offer excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography. 08:30 AM – Breakfast Return to your lodge for breakfast and check out. 09:30 AM – Shetani Lava Flow Depending on park conditions and timing, visit the dramatic Shetani Lava Flow, an impressive volcanic formation created by ancient lava flows. 10:30 AM – Depart for Tsavo East Continue eastward toward Tsavo East National Park. This natural progression allows you to experience both sides of the enormous Tsavo ecosystem without unnecessary backtracking. 01:00 PM – Lunch & Check-In Arrive at your Tsavo East lodge or camp and enjoy lunch. 02:30 PM – Afternoon Game Drive Enter the vast wilderness of Tsavo East. The park is particularly famous for its red elephants, which often appear reddish because of the park's distinctive red soil. Look for: Elephants Lions Leopards Buffaloes Giraffes Zebras Wildebeest Hippos Gerenuk Lesser kudu 05:30 PM – Sunset Game Drive Continue exploring the park as the afternoon light creates excellent photographic conditions. 06:30 PM – Return to Camp Dinner and relaxation. Overnight: Tsavo East Safari Lodge/Tented Camp

Day 3: Tsavo East – Mombasa/Nairobi

06:00 AM – Final Sunrise Game Drive Wake early and head into Tsavo East for your final game drive. Explore wildlife-rich areas and search for elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes and other wildlife. 08:30 AM – Breakfast Return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. 09:30 AM – Final Game Drive / Departure Depending on your departure location and flight schedule, enjoy a short final game drive while exiting the park. 11:30 AM – Continue Your Journey Option 1 – Mombasa: Continue toward Mombasa for a beach holiday, hotel stay or onward flight. Option 2 – Nairobi: Continue toward Nairobi for your hotel or onward flight. 01:00 PM – Lunch Enjoy lunch en route. 03:00–04:00 PM – Arrival Arrive in Mombasa or Nairobi, depending on your onward travel arrangements. End of your 3-Day / 2-Night Tsavo Twin Wilderness Safari.
