Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Begin with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport, followed by a safari briefing from your Africo Safari driver-guide. Travel through central Kenya, enjoying views of Mount Kenya and a stop at the equator crossing point for photographs and a demonstration.

Day 2: Arrive at Samburu Sopa Lodge for lunch, check-in and relaxation. Later, enjoy an evening game drive in search of Samburu’s Special Five and elephants along the Ewaso Nyiro River before watching the sunset.

Day 3: Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Start the day with breakfast and a sunrise game drive in Samburu, when wildlife is most active. Continue south toward Ol Pejeta Conservancy and arrive in time for lunch.

Day 4: Visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary and enjoy a rhino-tracking experience featuring both black and white rhinos. End the day with an evening game drive in search of lions, elephants, leopards and other wildlife, with Mount Kenya forming a beautiful backdrop.

Day 5: An optional night game drive can be arranged at an additional cost.

Day 6: Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, take an optional visit to Baraka, the blind black rhino, before departing for Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive for lunch, check in and prepare for an afternoon game drive.

Day 7: Explore the park in search of black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, leopards, pelicans and seasonal flamingos. Visit Baboon Cliff for sweeping views of the lake and surrounding landscape.

Day 8: Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park

Enjoy breakfast before travelling south through Nairobi toward Amboseli National Park. Lunch will be served along the way or upon arrival, depending on the travel schedule.

Day 9: After checking in at Sentrim Amboseli Lodge, relax and enjoy views of Mount Kilimanjaro. In the evening, take a game drive in search of Amboseli’s famous elephant herds, lions, cheetahs, buffaloes and other wildlife.

Day 10: Finish the day with sunset photography featuring Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 11: Amboseli to Nairobi

Begin with an early breakfast followed by a sunrise game drive beneath Mount Kilimanjaro. Visit Observation Hill for panoramic views of Amboseli’s wetlands, plains and wildlife.

Day 12: Depart for Nairobi around midday, with lunch served along the way. You will be dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari with Africo Safari.
